While life has since taken me beyond Far North Queensland, the spirit of those market days lives on in every piece we create. Today, ZaraJay Jade brings the same passion, craftsmanship, and personal touch to our online Shopify store, where you can explore our curated jade collections from anywhere in the world.
Our Roots: The Port Douglas Sunday Markets
Every Sunday at Anzac Park, from 8 AM to 1:30 PM, we shared our handcrafted jade pieces against the breathtaking backdrop of the Coral Sea. The Port Douglas Markets were more than just a place to sell—they were a community hub, where stories were exchanged and friendships formed.
It was here that we learned the art of listening to our customers—discovering what drew them to jade, whether it was the stone's natural beauty, its cultural significance, or its soothing energy. Those face-to-face interactions shaped our collections, inspiring custom engravings, wearable art, and pieces that carry meaning.
